Kentucky Silk Pie _________________ MERRINGUE SHELL: 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten 1 c sugar, add slowly 1 t vanilla 1/8 t cream of tartar Form into one large shell or into smaller individual shells on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour. Leave in oven for 1 hour. Filling: Beat 1 stick butter & 1/2 c sugar Beat 1 t vanilla & 1 square melted baking chocolate Combine these Add 1 egg and beat 5 MINUTES Put in shell and refrigerate 4 hours Top with whipped cream Source by leepatane
